In collaboration with Kansas.gov, Clay County, Kansas, has expanded its usage of the payment processing service, KanPay Counter. This service offers citizens the convenience of credit card payments at the treasurer, county clerk, county health department, park, landfill and noxious weed offices.
“Our Treasurer’s office has been utilizing the no-cost solution, KanPay Counter, provided by Kansas.gov for five years. We are glad to be able to expand this offering to our constituents at multiple county offices,” said Christine Swaim, Clay County Treasurer.
KanPay Counter is designed specifically for state and municipal governments to process credit card and electronic check payments. The partnership between Kansas.gov and the state operates under a self-funded model where no tax dollars were used to develop and maintain the payment service.
